About
Pocket Verdict started because most mobile reviews felt like press releases with star ratings bolted on. We wanted something simpler: play the game, note what works, say so plainly. No hype, no checklist scores pulled out of thin air.,The team is small. We rotate devices on purpose, from a tired mid-range Android to a newer iPhone, because a game that runs beautifully on one can stutter badly on another. Battery behaviour, thermal throttling, touch responsiveness — those things show up only when you actually use the phone, so that's what we do.,We pick games across genres rather than chasing whatever is trending. If a strategy title, a racer, and a cozy simulator all land in the same month, all three get a fair session. We don't accept paid placements, and anything we received for free gets stated up front.,Every review is a personal take. One editor might love a control scheme another finds fiddly, and we'd rather show that honestly than pretend there's one correct answer.
Marco Keller — Marco has been playing handheld and mobile games since the days of monochrome screens. He runs the editorial side and still argues that touch controls can be good if developers bother to try.
